Friendz for iPhone 1.2

The newest version of Friendz has been in review for about a week now, waiting for Apple to approve it.
It's got a brand new, completely redesigned UI, and a bunch of bug fixes and new features.

Make sure to update your device to 3.1 or higher to get the update.

Friendz for iPhone updates

It's been about 8 months since I put Friendz on the AppStore. Those 8 months have been truly amazing for me!
I never expected to get the response I did. Really pleased that everyone is enjoying it!

First off I'd like to thank everyone for their great feedback , I really couldn't make it happen without you guys!

Secondly I'd like to say that I'm shortly going to start a big overhaul of Friendz for iPhone which is going to bring a new UI and some more features and obviously it's a free update ;)
I'm hoping to have it finished by Christmas/New Year then submit it for a January 2010 release. I know it's a long time, but it will be worth it, I promise.

Friendz 3.0 update

Looks like supporting 10.3 and 10.4 is A LOT harder than I thought it would be. It might just have to be a 10.5 update only. I’m still looking into fixing the 2.9.74 message sending bug, but that could be it for 10.3 and 10.4 users.

Friendz for Mac 3.0 news

The new 3.0 update to Friendz is coming along nicely. I’ve integrated the Sparkle update framework and Growl is now working on Intel and PPC macs! Niiiiice.
The UI is taking a bit longer than expected, Xcode and IB are a lot more complicated for multiple windows and whatnot than REALbasic is.
Also still looking for a way to keep the OS 10.3 users happy, I’m not going to release unless it supports everyone ;)

As always, stay tuned.

Friendz for Mac is going Cocoa!

I haven’t really had the time to do anything to Friendz for Mac. It’s been neglected. Mainly because of the iPhone version demanding a lot of time, also because of school.

I’ve decided that this summer I will be rewriting Friendz in Xcode. This means that the application size will be a fraction of what it is now, and everything will be more native.

I have been planning on doing it for ages, but never had the time to learn Cocoa. The iPhone version really helped me to do that, I was learning as I went along.
Also, because the iPhone version works in the same way as the Mac version, I’ve already got the core features written and ready to go. It’s just about adding a pretty Mac OS X exterior ;)

Because of this major update, there won’t be any smaller updates until the port is complete.

Stay tuned and update when Friendz asks you to.

Ready for Sale

Friendz is now ready for sale on the iTunes AppStore for just $1.99/£1.19.

Friendz for iPhone 'in review'

I’ve submitted Friendz for sale (£1.19, $1.99). It’s got the status of ‘in review’ which basically means it could be accepted in a few hours or a few months. Stay tuned.

Friendz for iPhone another update.

Friendz is pretty much ready for the app store. I’m waiting for some banking stuff which should be done by next week. Then I’ll submit it. Stay tuned.

Friendz for iPhone finished.

Friendz for iPhone is now finished code wise. I have to do some extensive bug testing before I submit it to the app store. But it shouldn’t be long at all.
